Nadia and
Dancers presents the best of traditional, contemporary
and experimental Dance of the Middle East and beyond. This
versatile group has appeared at numerous special events,
festivals, and theatres such as The Public Theater, Hunter
College, WorldFest CT, The Hudson RiverFest, Caesar's Palace,
Madison Square Garden, Rutgers University, Fordham University,
Princeton, and Joyce Theater Soho.
Their varied and eclectic repertory
includes traditional and folkloric dances of the Middle
East (Egyptian, Lebanese, Moroccan, Gulf region and more),
Turkish Rom (Gypsy) dance, Neo-Tribal Fusion, Raks-Sharki,
Modern Fusion, Ancient Egyptian Pharaonic dances, Whirling
Dervish, Classical and Folkloric Dances of India and more.
Oriental
Journey, which features
14 musicians and dancers from around the globe, was a
recent collaboration with world-famous musician Rachid
Halihal and his Layali El Andalus Ensemble.
